How to Spend Your 4th of July in Sedona

Kick off your Independence Day at the Sedona Summer Splash, a free, family-friendly event hosted by the City of Sedona. From 12:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. at the Sedona Community Pool (570 Posse Ground Road), enjoy:

  • Recreational swimming

  • Giant water slides

  • Music by DJ Douglas

  • Food trucks offering a variety of treats

  • Games and activities for all ages

  • Hourly raffles with exciting prizes

  • Pie-eating contests at 1:00, 2:00, and 3:00 p.m.

Swim attire is required for pool use, and ADA service dogs are welcome. Parking is available at the West Sedona School parking lots.

Sedona Elks Lodge BBQ: Classic American Fare

For a traditional 4th of July meal, head to the Sedona Elks Lodge at 110 Airport Road from 11:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.

  • BBQ plates featuring hamburgers, hot dogs, or bratwursts with sides ($20 per plate)

  • Live music by classic rock band Relix

  • Dancing and socializing in a festive atmosphere

It’s a great way to indulge in hearty food and celebrate with the local community.

Fireworks in Nearby Cottonwood

While Sedona does not host its own fireworks display, nearby Cottonwood offers the Fantastic Family 4th of July celebration at the Cottonwood Kids Park from 4:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. The event includes:

  • Free food from 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m.

  • Games and activities for all ages

  • Fireworks display starting at 9:00 p.m.

It’s a short drive from Sedona and offers a traditional fireworks experience.

Stargazing and Sparkler Traditions

For a more tranquil evening, consider stargazing under Sedona’s clear skies. Some resorts and local spots encourage guests to participate in sparkler traditions, creating a magical atmosphere without the noise of fireworks.
